What is it?

  • Bank sand or fill sand refers to natural sand that is typically found in riverbeds, beaches, or other natural deposits.
    • It generally contains a percentage of clay and silt along with the greatest percentage of sand.
    • It can be light to medium brown or sometimes reddish in color.
    • Bank sand may contain various particle sizes, including both coarse and fine grains.
    • It is not specifically processed or washed to remove impurities or fines.
    • The bank sand will be excavated from the local area.

Where do you use it?

  • It is often used as a raw material for construction, concrete, and other       applications.
  • It is commonly used for filling low areas, and raising elevation.
